Co-Chair: New Orleans

Dr. Mark D. Anderson earned his Bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He graduated from the LSU School of Dentistry in 2000. While in dental school, Dr. Anderson completed a summer residency program with Indian Health Services on the Washoe Reservation near Gardnerville, Nevada. Upon graduating dental school, Dr. Anderson began working as an associate dentist with a group practice in downtown New Orleans. In 2002, he completed his orthodontic straight wire training with the United States Dental Institute and began providing comprehensive orthodontic treatment including the use of functional appliances.

Dr Anderson became Invisalign certified in 2004. After opening his own practice in New Orleans, Mid-City Smiles Family Dentistry, he began integrating Invisalign more into his orthodontic services, becoming one of the area’s leading providers. Dr. Anderson credits Dr. David Galler’s Reingage Course in early 2019 for his practice’s Invisalign resurgence and it’s conversion to a complete digital workflow practice guided by iTero. Dr. Anderson is currently a Diamond Invisalign provider. He is also a proud member of the AACA. In addition to his passion for Invisalign, sports dentistry is another area he has focused a lot of training and continuing education on. Dr. Anderson currently serves as the official team dentist for the New Orleans Pelicans of the NBA, providing dental treatment and dental trauma management to players, coaches, and staff.

Dr. Anderson is excited to co-lead the first ever AACA study club in New Orleans. In addition to spending his free time with his wife and three kids, Dr. Anderson enjoys being a member of the Krewe of Endymion, Mardi Gras’s largest parade organization.
